Under the direction of the Compensation & Benefits Supervisor in Human Resources, the Compensation & Classification Analyst plans, designs, developments, implements and evaluates the cities Compensation and Classification programs. This position will be responsible for providing human resources advice on Compensation and Classification methodologies using complex problem-solving and research initiatives in support of equitable salary structures and a Total Rewards strategy. The Human Resources Compensation Analyst will support other areas in the department as needed including benefits and recruiting in order to successfully attract and retain employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. The hiring department may include job related experience, training, education or license and certification preferences at the time of recruitment. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education:

Associates degree in Human Resources or related field, or two years college level course work.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or relate field.

Experience:

At least 3 years in the human resource profession in the area of compensation.
